Last fall I visited my parents in Mesa, AZ. One of their best friend couples are Jay and Fern Cocherhan. Just the nicest people. I went to a 'village' social and Fern had brought her imfamous angel food cake. Now I had never tasted a homemade one. I thought the ones from Safeway were pretty tasty. Boy was I ever wrong. I have never tasted anything quite as delicious as Fern's angel cake. I asked her for her recipe. She graciously agreed. I went over to her home and she took me thru step by step on how to make this cake. It was such a nice thing for her to do. I tried this recipe on New Years Eve. And I may add that it turned out fantastic! I will never go to Safeways for another angel food cake in my life. Thank you Fern!
